Q:  How do I register?

A:  Sign in to Golf Genius using GGID 2021FWDINV.  At the opening page, follow the prompts for registration similar to other FGCC events.  Outside teams will click on the Guest/Guest Team registration at the top of the page which will be available live after May 30th.

Q:  Can guests have a practice round?

A:  Yes, a practice round and use of range and short game area are included in the registration price.  Local players can play the week before the tournament, any out of area guests can play their practice round on Thursday July 22nd.  Call the FGCC pro shop 425-226-7890 (press #1) to set up your tee time.

Q:  I’m a fairly new golfer and am nervous about playing in a competition.  Should I sign up?

A:  Yes, all of us started off that way.  The maximum handicap index for this tournament is 40.  You will be entered into flights with people of your similar handicap and skill level.   You and your partner have a 10-stroke maximum differential.  You will be expected to keep up with pace of play.

Q:  What if I want to play but don’t have a partner?

A:  Contact Susan Bryan at susanbryan31@gmail.com or Bev Lane at bevrod27@gmail.com and we can try and find you a partner from another course who plays similar to your skill level.

Q:  What is the format?

A:  This is a stableford format.  You record your gross and net scores on the card and each score is awarded a point value.  Bogey = 1 point, Par = 2 points, Birdie = 3 points, Eagle = 4 points, Albatross = 5 points.  The first day, the BEST net score between you and your partner is used, and on the second day, BOTH net scores are combined for a team score.

Q:  Are payouts gross and net or is this just a net tournament?

A:  Yes, we are paying at least one gross winner and several net winners, depending on the number of players in each flight.

Q:  Are meals included?

A:  Yes, the Fairwood chef is preparing breakfast and lunch on both Friday and Saturday with cart snacks included.  The food will have a Mardi Gras theme.  Appetizer and drink specials will be available Thursday afternoon.  If you have dietary restrictions, please note them on your registration.
